Pro tips for platform-optimized content
Twitter / X
Keep it under 240 to leave room for reply threads. URLs count as 23 chars regardless of length. CJK characters count as 2.
LinkedIn
Posts with 1,200β1,500 characters tend to get the best engagement. Use line breaks generously β LinkedIn rewards whitespace.
Instagram
Only the first ~125 characters show in the feed before βmoreβ. Front-load the hook.
Bluesky
300 graphemes, not bytes. Compound emoji count as 1. Similar vibe to Twitter but slightly more casual.
Threads
500 chars, similar to Twitter but with room to breathe. Conversational tone wins.
TikTok
2,200 chars for descriptions but most viewers read < 100. Short and punchy with hashtags.
